Barcelona to Madrid

We boarded the speed train to Madrid about 11 am and after going about 200 mph we were in Madrid at 1:45... Really neat....the kids would have really enjoyed it as I did ...lots of photos etc....and so modern, quiet, and fast.
The Barcelona station is very modern and huge and big crowds as the last day of the Easter holiday.....but we moved through ticketing and security quickly and found our train and car. Very easy and convenient .
Madrid station is also very modern and huge and Audy found an employee that led us out to the taxi area and 10 minutes later we were at the hotel, which is a  5 star boutique hotel.....very nice and modern in that it is in an old military building that was remodeled a few years ago to this beautiful  boutique hotel in the middle of a very busy downtown.
Shortly after we arrived and were fully welcomed by the staff we got a call that our tour of the Royal Palace was cancelled for today....long and short is we went to reception and he made some calls and we found that we could go directly there and get it...and we got a taxi and got there for our visit by 4 pm.....we got the audio and the accompanying Samsung video player and off we went. The Royal Palace is an amazing place, and Sufi e it to say equals if not exceeds anything that I have ever seen, including Windsor and the German castles. Very impressive and a must for a Madrid visitor. Too much to describe here....so we returned to the hotel and then went to the Flamenco Show and Dinner that Donna had arranged. The show was just one of the most unusual shows we have ever seen..with unbelievable dancing skills.  We can talk about it now with great humor....but in essence it was one of the most accomplished dancing feats we have ever seen...featuring 2 women and a man each doing their solo act.  The restaurant was packed...some for dinner and some to just see the show...but a true experience for us....more on this.
Today we are doing the Hop On.....Madrid is so big and so.beautiful....should be a good day
